Meet the people who helped this project come alive.
Meet My Family
Husband: He is the engineer. I am the artist. It’s the classic opposites-attract combo! Born and raised in Idaho, he is: solid, smart, patient, compassionate…and has a real talent for problem-solving! (He’s also really cute and really funny. I know. I win!)
My Oldest (14) is a straight-forward thinker, self-motivated, thoughtful, adventurous, and funny.
My Middle Child (11) is sensitive, curious, eager, goofy, kind, and an animal whisperer!
My Youngest (7) is an artist: creative, dynamic, willful, (I don’t know where she gets any of that from…) and sweet.
Meet The Cast
-
Sheri is my sandbox sister. We play in the same intellectual and emotional space with similar rhythms. We sit back to back, digging away–but always flipping around to share a new tool, technique, or prize. We value all of it: the pretty and shiny or the ugly and crude. We sift, dig, fling, pull, push, and rest together–pants rolled up, toes dug in, faces in the sun, and laugh…because, it’s all ridiculous, isn’t it? Even our serious searching?! Ha!
Sheri has the best laugh. And, if you can get the laughter to literally come out of her toes with joyful little stampings of her feet, you’ve hit the jackpot! With eyes discerning, curious, kind, and deep-sky blue, she is my sustenance, my staple, my best friend.
-
Julie has warm brown eyes and a megawatt smile, which don’t even begin to betray her luminosity! Her soul reaches velvety depths; her mind flashes intellect, wit, and humor; her heart glows with acceptance and understanding; and her brain and hands methodically put order to the world-inside and out.
She is a universe unto herself–changing and constant, comforting and astonishing–like an opal. She is my intellectual soul sister and my best friend. I almost don’t remember my life before I met her…
-
Kat–with her purple hair and expressive pixie face–all wrapped in leggings, sweaters, and beaded bracelets, is actually a white witch. She carries an atmosphere of safe space wherever she goes. Her internal gravity pulls authenticity and truth toward her. She freshens everything with her perspective and shines limitless validation on every friend. She quilts ideas, people, and lives together–and sometimes fabric. Her humor is my unlikely medicine, her honesty and perspective are salve to my soul, and her wholesome food nourishes my body–and I am always soothed and strengthened.
She is my accountability partner in crime, my best friend.
-
Rebekah is the person I know who knows EVERYONE–including every employee at Costco (I swear)! She gathers friends to her and gathers people together. To be in her circle of friends is to feel safe, included, and cared for. She is solid, bright, bubbly–and fiercely defends her people. She loves music, loves to cook–and makes better espresso lattes than any coffee shop!
I was thrilled to realize that this year was the FOURTH year my family was invited to her Thanksgiving dinner! (You’re part of our family traditions now, Rebekah–no getting away!) A best friend of shining quality.
-
Sara has these changing turquoise eyes, which slip into deep pools of sympathy or leap into sparkling mirth and giggles almost instantaneously! Inquisitive, compassionate, smart, and intuitive–she is not afraid to reach for or hold on to what feels good to her! She does life her way, assertively unassuming. She is devoted to her family and all her people. Her work as a therapist suits her perfectly! I’m so grateful to call her friend.
*If you are my good friend, and you haven’t made it on this list, I FORBID you to be offended! I just haven’t gotten around to writing your piece, yet. XOXO

I could not have launched this project alone! These are the talented professionals I worked with for this project:
Megan Lloyd
Web Designer
meganlloyd.org
Megan is professional, personable, competitively priced, and you can see what a beautiful job she did on this website–both with functionality and design. My project is unique and my style is highly decorative, but she leaned into it and worked hard to make sure it represented me–and I couldn’t be happier!
Megan is experienced and gave me space and support when I had an anxiety attack about “selling” my work…“It’s ok! Take a day or two. Everyone goes through this!” she told me. I’m still not sure if I believe her, but I was so grateful and surprised to find that level of insight and compassion in a business transaction. I would recommend The Business Matchmaker to ANYONE–especially to creatives!
Need a website designed? Go ahead and make a Zoom appointment here. You won’t be sorry!
Amiee Lynne
Intro & Outro Music
The first time I met Amiee Lynne, she played her guitar and sang. It was like the music literally peeled back a worldly, filmy layer and suddenly her whole self was shining through! She is music and music is her. She is working towards a degree in music therapy.
She is young, energetic, curious, bright, and authentic! Follow her music journey here: I can’t wait to see where her music takes her!

Stephanie Jagielski
Illustrator & Artist
www.sjagielskiart.com
Stephanie is an old and dear friend. Art has been her language for her entire life, but watching her wrangle her artistic talents into full-time work has been an astonishing and exciting experience!
Her work is playful, colorful, meaningful, and whimsical. She teaches watercolor classes and has pieces for sale in galleries in New Mexico. She does these gorgeous pieces with people and flowers/plants and animals–and she does take commission work!
She is the illustrator of these beautiful watercolor portraits. Check out her fresh exciting work!
